Product Date Codes

Most Baker Boy products are date coded in this format:
XXXYZ (Example: 040A4)
XXX: 3 digit number indicating the day of the year in Julian calendar
format, such as 040= the 40th day of the year, or February 9th.
Y: Production line code
Z: Last digit of the year (4=2004, 5=2005)

Some products are open date coded in this format: XXX YY ZZZZ
Example: Feb 09, 2005

Icing products use the following date code format: XXXYZ(Z) Example: 04022
XXX: 3 digit Julian calendar date
Y: Last digit of the year
Z(Z): 1 or 2 digit daily batch number
