Benefits for Full Time Employees*

Baker Boy’s benefits are just one of the many reasons to consider joining our team! We offer benefits that enhance the lives of our employees and their families. Our employees have the unique opportunity to customize their benefits to meet their individual needs.

After successfully completing just three months of service, full time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision and life Insurance options, paid leave time and holiday pay.


Medical Insurance
Our medical insurance consists of a high deductible health plan with wellness dollars and, for those who qualify, a health savings account.  Health Savings Accounts (HSA) allow employees to save and use pretax dollars for medical purposes.

Flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care are also available.  Full time employees are invited to attend an orientation session, conducted by the administrator of our medical, dental and vision plans, to help educate employees on these benefits.  

Dental and Vision Insurance
Dental and vision options are also offered to employees and their families.  Dental care is available with many services covered at 100% after deductible is met.  Vision care benefits are also available for eye exams, frames and lenses or contact lenses.

Life Insurance
Group life Insurance is available on the 1st of the month following the completion of three full months of employment at no cost to the employee. Voluntary life insurance is also available to full time employees after three months. The rates are affordable and the plans are portable.

Paid Leave Time
Paid leave time begins accruing on a full time employee’s first day of work and can be used after 90 days of continuous employment. Employees can accumulate up to 360 hours of leave time. Each December full time employees are paid at their regular rate of pay for any hours they have accumulated over 360 hours.

Holidays
After three months of full time employment, eligible employees will receive holiday pay. We observe seven holidays per year: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

401(K) with Company Match
Upon eligibility, employees are encouraged to participate in Baker Boy’s 401(k) plan. Employees are eligible on the quarter following three months of service. The quarters are January, April, July and October. Following an informational orientation session, employees are able to choose a model portfolio, or they have the option to customize their own portfolio for their investment choices. Deferrals can be Regular (pretax) or Roth (after tax).

After one year of employment employees are eligible for a 401(k) company match. The match is fifty cents on the dollar up to a maximum of 3%. For employees to get the full Baker Boy match employees will need to defer 6% of their earnings. Matches are calculated and placed in the employees’ accounts each pay period.


Profit Sharing
As a Baker Boy employee you may receive an annual profit sharing contribution. The amount varies each year depending upon the profits of the company.

Wellness
The health and wellness of our employees is extremely important at Baker Boy. Our wellness committee develops fun, beneficial programs to help motivate employees to make healthy lifestyle choices. Baker Boy employees also receive a 20% corporate discount at our local community center. Payroll deduction is available.
