Assuring quality and food safety from start to finish
Baker Boy upholds stringent quality standards and has a Food Safety Program in place to assure quality across our operations, from incoming ingredients to delivery of finished goods.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Baker Boy adheres to FDA-defined Good Manufacturing Practices for food production facilities. We undergo annual audits by the FDA, military and New Science Management.
HACCP Program
Baker Boy has a comprehensive HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) documentation and training program in place to assure food safety. All employees receive training on HACCP best practices.
Employee Training
All Baker Boy employees undergo annual food safety training.
Lot Tracking
Baker Boy has a lot tracking system for tracking product after it leaves our facility.
Nutritional Information
All products manufactured at Baker Boy are given complete nutritional documentation, ingredient legends, and allergen warnings.
Plant Inspections
We conduct monthly inspections of our entire facilities to verify cleanliness, assure compliance with HACCP standards, and identify opportunities to improve overall plant processes. Designated employees from each department participate in these inspections, bringing diverse knowledge and expertise to drive continuous improvement.
Incoming Ingredient Inspections
QA makes sure that bulk ingredients are within the supplier's COA (Certificate of Analysis). This includes: taking samples and checking that seals are on trailers. Trailers with broken seals, or product that does not meet our specifications are rejected.
Quality Checks
Our quality assurance team takes frozen samples from the production line every ten minutes, and test bakes them to assure they meet our high standards for performance, taste and appearance. Metal detectors are used throughout the production process to help protect against contamination.
